Matthew 25:14 – 46
1) Find the ministry that God made you to do–God will reward you!
2) Don’t settle for any excuses in your life–be hard on yourself. The third man in today’s story decided to play life safe and not go out and invest his master’s money. Because of this His master called him a wicked and lazy slave. Not because of the money but because he wasted something more valuable than money–he wasted the opportunity. You only have one life to live–live it with all the passion you have for the God who made you.
3) Jesus connects ministry with salvation–the lazy slave who was afraid and went and hid his master’s money was punished by being cast “into the outer darkness.” The lesson here is that real faith–saving faith–results in life change. Examine your life! Are you in the family of God? You cannot earn your way into heaven but if you have been born into God’s family you will want to be about your Father’s business.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
